Is there a political platform that calls for the progression of General AI? Is there a contemporary anti-luddite movement?

I could reduce the need for jobs for cashiers by the technology of self check out lines. I could reduce the need for most lawyer and medical jobs through expert systems that work along the same lines. It goes on and on, and only needs a politician to see it through to the end...cough, to the beginning!

Isn't there technology already present and available that could create a global economoy with atleast a 50% or more unemployment?

It might even increase the pressure the idea of one way trip to Mars, settling new horizons.

Against the idea.....

Ancient Romans were against the idea of having too many automatons at work.

Yes they were because the slave labor was cheap.

I have seen videos about how they make the cheap things we use every day, in huge factories in china. These factories, there are not more than long tables. All is done by hand, no automation, even no mechanics. They globally subsidize shipping, and these factories as well, which makes making these things so cheap possible. And this prevents automation everywhere, as the products are so cheap, automation cannot compete.

Like when you see the factories in japan in the 1980's, all automated, every single thing. And today, chinese at long tables, doing everything by hand. This is where we arrived to, this is how it developed further. If someone could end that menace, but i think not, because it doesn't depend on saying out ideas, there is a big system that facilitates this to happen, and it is too big so any single person, hundreds of people, or thousands of people, are powerless of doing anything about it. But unless this is changed, no change to better is possible.

Not sure whether that is true.

It will be for chinamen then to figure out how they may be needed. But the worst is that this is how they are needed.

The way the chinese make things today, it's so primitive, this is how the things were produced in the beginning of the previous century, or even in the end of the 19. century.

The wall isn't a real wall. since trump will be defeated....the reward will be a drone wall. A drone wall that mexico will not have to build. The Drone wall will actually reduce costs on government spending and increase the power the government holds through efficiency. All in the name of national security.

What is the idea of privacy under the 24/7 watch of drones? A war with immigrants......from a single nation......a terroristic tide of rapists and criminals from the south!
