in backward chaining when we encourage the situation that a rule will fire if one condition be true ( we have two condition with "or" ) . is it advantage or disadvantage?
system won't check the second condition.

High end AI is about predicting the future.
But thing can become so complex you have to wait to
see where the pieces land before move the focus back in to
the future.
Some time after the pieces have settle and then it may take
a while examine the tea leaves.

Maybe it depends upon which of the two "or" conditions is more important to you. If the system will not check the second condition, maybe there should be not just one rule, but two rules -- one for each of the conditions.

and is a more selective process than or is, unless you want to or the opposite of your input and output, which is actually the same as and. then you can use converse and inverse or for everything.

and alone works better than or alone, but and alone is not a complete logic by itself, or is a reductor that is required in a logic machine. or cant really do anything by itself, but and can. (ngrams can work with and alone) but ull see theres something missing in your robot eventually.
