Do you have a role that is easy-to-automate? If you are nodding in agreement, then let me tell you – Artificial Intelligence (and Machines) will most likely take away your job!

Will you lose your job to machines anytime soon?

I am doing AI science that is really different. Because of this no one
will finance it until they see some proof of it. In the mean time i need
a take a simple job while i make a demo for the world to see.
But i do
not have a problem with AI taking my job but cheap foreign labor.
In the future when i make a AI that takes all foreign labors jobs
then i will have my revenge!

The predictions machines would replace humans goes back to the industrial revolution. If machines do replace humans it will most likely be Uber drivers watching fleets of automated cars being used as taxi fleets without a driver offering cheaper fares than they can match. Ultimately, it is about money and the expense to do business. Ultimately, it is not the skill level that will determine which jobs last and which ones don't- I suspect in 30 years people in the prostitution business will not be losing work to machines but TSA screeners at an airport will be. Due to the need of governments to have oversight and control something will have to be done to keep folks busy as most governments really only want people to work and when they are not working to stay home.

I think the recent AI will take over campaign is because bringing the jobs from China back to America, needs some automation, robotics, and also AI, which is the only way how to make products as cheap as in China in America. So they try to hinder the development of AI, to prevent moving jobs from China to America. Because by their plans, China should become the center of power, because people are enslaved much better there, and America should become a third world country. The universities are full of left wing people, so they support such campaigns. This has nothing whatsoever to do with science.

But what concerns machines taking over the jobs, then this is a very wrong thinking. Machines should be to make peoples life easier, but by that thinking it's not good that machines make the peoples life easier, peoples life must not be made easier, this is somehow very bad. Looking at that by going outside the brainwashing, when machines do the job, then people can work less, does it make sense? Then it's simply time to have a 4 hour working day, and everything will be better than ever before. Plus people can do things that interest them, in addition to work, this will cause a creativity never seen before.

Nevertheless though, developing new technology will always increase the amount of work, so at least in the near future there will not be less jobs, but instead of jobs in production, there will be more development work, and hopefully also science. So this fear is also not exactly right. But the jobs will be brought from China to America, hopefully they will be.

Exactly. The machines will makes life easier. We wont be losing our jobs though just for the machines that were man made. AI has altogether made life more exciting.

We should also be aware of the AI applications, that we probably dint hear of!

Well, not things like Cortana, or self-driving cars, AI can also be good or bad, and it can make life much worse too. But i think if it asks you whether you are hungry, and if you are, then makes you food, then it would be good of course.

What i find interesting, is to research consciousness, it's interesting because it's about the whole universe.
