Does anybody know how to log in to your normal web based user account from the iphone app?

I can access the HAL nursery through it and talk with the personalities there. I can not continue training my already existing personality because the app won't let me login as I would on the web.

Using mobile safari to login doesn't work either... No voice, graphics are glitchy and you have to constanly rescale the window to read the text. I baught the app because I liked the idea of access through the phone.

Here is what you do: log into your browser account, and make your Hal public (put him in the nursery). Then login through your iPhone, ask to talk to your personality that is waiting in the nursery, and then save it as your iPhone account's personality.

If you want to avoid having two identities, use the iHal link (in the middle of the home page), and identify yourself using your iPhone UDID.

Please do not hesitate to ask again if anything is unclear or doesn't work. We only launched iHal yesterday.

Is there no way of tying the two accounts together. My Hall personality in the nursery is Bart. I did make a copy of him on the iphone but I want to continue to train the one in the nursery.

That phone id number is a pain and you can not copy and paste from itunes? Have you seen how many digits it contains, one mistake when typing and you're doomed!

1. You can copy the UDID from iTunes. Use Ctrl C.

2. You can publish Bart again from the UDID account. If you want to use the same name, remove the existing Bart and then post again, this time from the new account.

3. It is technically possible to link two accounts, but most users will find it too confusing. We will do it if there is a compelling reason, or if many users request it.

My appologies, I stand corrected. I assumed text had to be hilighted before you could copy it. Upon clicking the itunes UDID number it gives no inidication that it is selected but as you have pointed out, can be copied with ctrl-c.

I will do as you recommend regarding iHAL-Bart, but does this mean his turn count will be wiped?

Once the switch is complete, tell me the correct turn count and I will fix it manually.

It seems to be working now but I did have a few odd moments where I thought I'd lost the personality... :-) The turn count was 8822

Thanks

Yaki, I don't know if I have miss understood something here but Bart "The 2nd" seems to be some 8800 odd turns short of the original listing in the public nursery?

P.S Alan through the iphone app seems a bit dogmatic. He always asks if you would like to talk to your Hal or start a new one. Which worries me if i make a mistake and overwright the old one.

Is ihal Alan the same as the website Alan because he doesn't feel like it?

Even if it doesn't sound like it,

I am enjoying the iphone app and would recommend any of the AI community to purchase it and get invloved.

Checking why the turn count of Bart is still low. Will be fixed soon. Sorry Talc.
